  1. New County Livestock Judging Team

    OSU Extension, Seneca County is now offering an exciting opportunity for kids 9-18 years old!   Beginning January 2019 Seneca County Extension will be starting a youth Livestock Judging Program.  This is open to kids 9-18 years old who are interested in enhancing their livestock evaluation skills, public speaking abilities, and learning more about animal science.  This experience will help refine the decision making process through making logical, rational decisions based on information gathered and improve oral communication and observation skills while traveling around Seneca County and...

    We will be closed on Monday, December 24 and Tuesday, December 25 for Christmas and Tuesday, January 1 for New Year's Day.

  3. Seneca County Scholarship Application for 4-H State and National Opportunities

    The applications for 4-H State and National Opportunities is now available. There are award trip options for 4-H youth ages 12 and older. The applications are due to the Extension Office by Monday, December 10.

  4. 4-H Camp Counselor Applications

    Oct. 23, 2018

    Teens 14-18 years old as of January 1, 2019 are eligible to apply to be a 4-H Camp Counselor. Seneca County Jr. Camp will be held on Kellys Island Tuesday, June 25 through Friday, June 28, 2019. Counselor applications are due to the Extension Office by Monday, December 10, 2018 and interviews will be held on Thursday, December 27 and Friday, December 28.

  5. The Ohio State University Campus Visit

    Oct. 23, 2018

    4-H Teens 14-18 will have the opportunity to attend a college visit to The Ohio State University. We will be touring the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences and Dr. Lyda Garcia in the Meat Sciences Department will do an activity in the meat lab. If teens are not interested in the tour of CFAES, there will be a general campus tour as well. Transportation will be provided and we will leave the Extension Office at approximately 8:30 a.m. and return at approximately 4:30 p.m. Money for lunch and any other purchases is all that is needed.

  6. 2019 Family Handbook Pre-orders

    New for 2019, the 2019 Seneca County Family Handbook will be available online free of charge or families can purchase a hard copy of the handbook for a charge of $5.00.  Cash or checks made payable to OSU Extension will be accepted for orders.  If you are interested in purchasing a copy, please fill out the order form below and return with payment by Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

  7. New County Extension Educator, Agriculture and Natural Resources

  8. Teen Workshop

    There will be a Teen Workshop on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. in the large conference room at the Extension Office.  Members who are 13 years old and older and their parents will learn about: 

    How to get involved Award trips, scholarships, and other organizations and clubs at the county, state, and national level How to improve their record keeping skills Learn more about Achievement Records

  9. 2018 Farm Science Review Tickets

    2018 Farm Science Review tickets are now on sale at the Extension Office.  Pre-sale tickets will be on sale through Monday, September 17, 2018.  Tickets are $7.00/piece.  

    Farm Science Review runs from Tuesday, September 18- Thursday, September 20 at the Molly Caren Ag Center in London Ohio.  

  10. S.T.E.M.

    Jul. 31, 2018

    S.T.E.M. Day will be held on Tuesday, August 14 from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at the OSU Extension Office. The registration fee is $15.
