  1. Seneca County Scholarship Application for 4-H State and National Opportunities

    The applications for 4-H State and National Opportunities is now available. There are award trip options for 4-H youth ages 12 and older. Please take a look at the options as there are many terrific opportunities that allow you to learn, grow, and develop leadership skills, not to mention the memories and great friendships you will make. The applications are due to the Extension Office by Monday, December 9.

  2. Seneca County 4-H Endowment

    Help us reach our goal of $1,000 in our endowment fund by the end of 2019! Interest from this endowment provides local funding for our 4-H program to thrive. Please help us grow in order to reach all the children possible in Seneca County through the 4-H programs!   3. 4-H Open House

    The Seneca County 4-H Open House will be held on Thursday, December 5th from 6-8 p.m. at Sentinel Career and Technology Center. The Open House is for any youth 5-18 years old and their families who are interested in learning more about the Seneca County 4-H Program and all that it has to offer. We encourage and welcome anyone who is interested in joining 4-H or who would like to become a volunteer to attend.

    This fall is shaping up to be a busy one!  There are several events and opportunities coming up for our older 4-H members.  Check out the links below for each event and mark your calendars to attend. 

  5. Teen Night

    Sep. 04, 2019

    Come to our Teen Night on Monday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Extension Office. This event is open to any 4-H teen 13 years old and older and their parents who are interested in getting more involved. We will discuss all of the opportunities that there are to offer at the county, state, and national levels. We will also talk about all of the scholarships available and how to go about completing an achievement form. There will be plenty of information on each opportunity for you to take a look at and take home with you.

  6. Agriculture Exploring Post Open House

    Does a career in the field of agriculture interest you? Then you are invited to join our Agriculture Exploring Post. This program is open to students ages 14-20, who have completed the 8th grade. Through immersive hands on experiences, students will gain knowledge of all the opportunities that exist in this exciting career field. This Post will tour various agricultural businesses, local farms, and will help guide you to your future in agriculture. Parents and grandparents are welcome to attend meetings and field trips.

  7. Career Day

    Join us on Sunday, September 22 from 2-5 p.m. at the fairgrounds for a Career Day put on by the Seneca County 4-H Junior Leadership. There will be many businesses with various different occupations. Whether you might be interested in the health field, construction, financial consultant, agriculture, and so much more; we have something for you! We also will have some colleges represented at the event for you to talk with. You will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for multiple scholarships! The Career Day is free and open to anyone age 14 and up.

  8. Jr. Fair Board Applications

    Are you 13 years old or older and in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or FFA and want to serve on the Seneca County Jr. Fair Board?  Applications are now available at the Jr. Fair Office, the Extension Office and on our website for those who are interested in serving on Jr. Fair Board.  Applications and a letter of recommendation (from your advisor) are due to Emily at the Jr. Fair Office by October 31, 2019.  Applications can be dropped off at the Jr Fair Office in the drop box or mailed to : Seneca County Jr. Fair, P.O. Box 756, Tiffin, OH 44883.

  9. Mental Health Training

    The Seneca County Agricultural Mental Health Committee is hosting an opportunity for anyone working with our farming community in or around
    Seneca County. This 2 hour session is designed to help our professionals understand how to recognize stress in our producers, how to communicate
    and provide support to them, and how to connect them with mental health resources here in Seneca County.

  10. STEM Day

    Jul. 15, 2019

    Anyone 8-18 can register for our STEM Day on Wednesday, August 14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. at the Extension Office. Registrations are due by Friday, August 9.
