1. 2017 Camp Counselor Application

    Applications for 2017 Camp Counselors are being accepted now through December 12, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.  Interested members should be at least 14 years old by the start of camp and must complete a minimum of 24 hours of training.  First year counselors will be considered CIT's (Counselors In Training) and will be required to help with the Cloverbud Day Camp.  First year applicants are also required to provide two non-family references.  If you have any questions please contact the Extension Office.  


  2. Grade A Banquet Information

    Are you ready for a Grade A Banquet that is out of this world!  The 8th annual Grade A Banquet, sponsored by the Fostoria and Tiffin Kiwanis Clubs, will be held on Sunday August 28, 2016 in the Entertainment Building at the fairgrounds.  Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m.  There will be entertainment by comedian and juggler, Tim Salisbury, prizes, and fun! 

    Members who received an "A" on their project(s) will eat for free, adults are $10.00, and children ages 1-7 are $5.00.  

  3. Important Dog Project Information

  4. 2016 Cloverbud Camp

    The 2016 Cloverbud Camp is Shooting for the Stars!  Cloverbud members are invited to attend the Cloverbud Camp on Tuesday August 16, 2016 from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m at the Franciscan Earth Literacy Center.  Cloverbuds will enjoy team building activities, astronomy activities, and learn about the solar system.   Registration forms and fees are due to the Extension Office by August 1st.  Lunch will be provided.  If you have any questions please contact the office 419-447-9722.  


  5. Cattle Round Up

    Mark your calendars for June 25, 2016 starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Seneca County Fairgrounds and plan to attend the Cattle Round Up.  This is event is open to Seneca County 4-H and FFA members at no charge and to non county residents at a charge of $5.00.  This fun and interactive seminar helps improve your show cattle skills and offers sessions on showmanship, clipping, fitting, and nutrition.  Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and lunch will be provided by Tiffin Farmer's Coop and Kalmbach Feeds.   Please see the link below for event information.

  6. Diagnostic Workshop for Master Gardener Volunteers

    Current Master Gardener Volunteers are invited to attend a diagnostic workshop on Friday July 15, 2016 at Sentinel Vocation Center starting at 9:00 a.m.  The cost for the class is $35.00 and includes lunch, snacks, and handouts.   If you are interested in attending this event, please fill out the registration form and send it in to the Extension Office by July 8 with your payment.  If you have any questions contact Susan Payne 419-447-5047.  

  7. Camp Registration and Scholarship Forms

    2016 Kelleys Island camp registration and camp scholarship forms are now available!!  This year's camp will be Tuesday June 28-Friday July 1.  Forms are avilable through the link below, the camp tab under 4-H Youth Development, or under forms in 4-H Youth Development.  Registration forms and payments are due to the Extension Office by June 9, 2016.  This year's camp fee is $140.00 for 4-H members and $155.00 for non 4-H members.  If you have any questions please call the office 419-447-9722. 

  8. Dog Project Paperwork and Horse and Cattle reminders

    The dog department has three forms that all dog project exhibitors need to fill out and turn into the Extension Office by April 30, along with a front and side picture of the dog.  Please make sure to have your name and club on the back of the picture as well.  Dog exhibitors should turn in:

  9. Letter from Nicole and Showorks Instructions

    Showorks will be active starting May 1, 2016 for members to make livestock entries.  Nicole has included a letter to families about the upcoming fair and instructions for Showorks entries.  All entries must be submitted to Showorks by JUNE 15, 2016.  This is for livestock entries only.  Members taking misc. projects will fill out their entry forms at pre-fair judging on July 13 or July 16.
