1. Agriculture Exploring Post Open House

    Does a career in the field of agriculture interest you? Then you are invited to join our Agriculture Exploring Post. This program is open to students ages 14-20, who have completed the 8th grade. Through immersive hands on experiences, students will gain knowledge of all the opportunities that exist in this exciting career field. This Post will tour various agricultural businesses, local farms, and will help guide you to your future in agriculture. Parents and grandparents are welcome to attend meetings and field trips.

  2. Career Day

    Join us on Sunday, September 22 from 2-5 p.m. at the fairgrounds for a Career Day put on by the Seneca County 4-H Junior Leadership. There will be many businesses with various different occupations. Whether you might be interested in the health field, construction, financial consultant, agriculture, and so much more; we have something for you! We also will have some colleges represented at the event for you to talk with. You will have the opportunity to enter into a drawing for multiple scholarships! The Career Day is free and open to anyone age 14 and up.

  3. Jr. Fair Board Applications

    Are you 13 years old or older and in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts or FFA and want to serve on the Seneca County Jr. Fair Board?  Applications are now available at the Jr. Fair Office, the Extension Office and on our website for those who are interested in serving on Jr. Fair Board.  Applications and a letter of recommendation (from your advisor) are due to Emily at the Jr. Fair Office by October 31, 2019.  Applications can be dropped off at the Jr Fair Office in the drop box or mailed to : Seneca County Jr. Fair, P.O. Box 756, Tiffin, OH 44883.

  4. Mental Health Training

    The Seneca County Agricultural Mental Health Committee is hosting an opportunity for anyone working with our farming community in or around
    Seneca County. This 2 hour session is designed to help our professionals understand how to recognize stress in our producers, how to communicate
    and provide support to them, and how to connect them with mental health resources here in Seneca County.

  5. STEM Day

    Anyone 8-18 can register for our STEM Day on Wednesday, August 14 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. at the Extension Office. Registrations are due by Friday, August 9.

  6. Square Dance

    Come on out to the fair on Thursday, July 25 from 7-10 p.m. for some square dancing, line dancing, and recreational dance! The event will be held in the Education Building.

    Enjoy some exercise and a healthy snack on Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25 at 1:00 p.m. during the fair in the Booth Building. We will be making some healthy and refreshing smoothies using blender bikes! This activity will go on only while supplies lasts.

  8. Gaga Ball Tournament

    Wednesday, July 24 at 5:00 p.m. Jr. Leadership and Jr. Fair Board will be hosting a Gaga Ball Tournament at the Seneca County Fair in the lawn in front of the Jr. Fair Office. Sign-Ups are available in the Jr. Fair Office until Tuesday, July 23 at 4:00 p.m. You can sign up as an individual or a team of four people. This event is for anyone 13-18 years old.

  9. Grade A Celebration Registration

    The annual Grade A Celebration is quickly approaching!  The Grade A Celebrtation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 starting at 4:00 p.m. in the Entertainment Building on the Fairgrounds.  NEW for this year, Cloverbud members will also be FREE along with advisors and Jr. Fair Participants who earned an "A" on at least one project.  Additional meals for families will be as follows: Adults $10.00 and Kids(1-8) $5.00.  

  10. Skill-a-thon Information and Study Material

    New this year, there will be a county wide skill-a-thon day for livestock exhibitors on Thursday, July 18, 2019 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Education Building on the fairgrounds.  Livestock included: Beef, Dairy, Canine, Equine, Goats, Poultry, Rabbits, Sheep, and Swine.  There is a PDF link below for skill-a-thon information and study information.  Canine participants should contact a member of the Dog Advisory Council or Pam Greene for skill-a-thon information.
