Yours with Every Stitch- Apprenticeship Program

Hello! My name is Danielle Park, and I am a 4-H alumni who has a passion for sewing and teaching others how to sew. I graduated last year from Calvert High School and started my own sewing and alterations business that is located in the heart of downtown Tiffin. I always wanted to pursue a career that nurtured my love of sewing and creating, and after deciding that fashion school wasn’t for me, I began building what is now my business, Yours with Every Stitch. Following the opening of my shop in July, and my ribbon cutting in October, I have received overwhelming support and business from the community. Mending, alterations, and sewing as a service in general are all extremely needed things in our community, and in most of the country. Because of my love for the 4-H program, I would like to extend an opportunity to local members that are interested in pursuing sewing as a career, or simply learning more about sewing as a future career option. Interested members will have the opportunity to become an apprentice at Yours with Every Stitch and will learn what it’s like to run a local business and sew for a wide variety of customers. Apprentices will be taught simple alterations like how to hem a pair of pants, marking items for sewing, and whatever else they are willing to learn! Please feel free to contact me with any interest or questions. I can also be flexible with schedules and am willing to work with members individually to find a schedule that will work for both of us. Thank you for your time and consideration, and for keeping sewing alive through 4-H!

I ask that potential apprentices be of at least an intermediate level of sewing (comfortable using and operating a sewing machine and using scissors to cut material).

4-H Partners with JOANN for ‘Clovers for Kids’ Campaign

National 4-H has developed a partnership with the company JOANN and they do a campaign each spring to help raise money for 4-H. This year the campaign has already started and will run through April 30.

Key Info:

  • Ohio will receive back 70% of the in-store campaign dollars raised.
  • Online purchases go back to National 4-H because their system can’t track by state.

Looking for a weekend craft project? Check out this promotion with 4-H and JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores. The Ohio 4-H Foundation will use the funds received for mini-grants to local county 4-H programs. Give at your local JOANN store between now and April 30. Every dollar makes a difference in helping a young person find their SPARK.
